Cookies and Google Analytics

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart and login working, remember your preferences and measure how the site is used. We use Google Analytics, which places cookies and sends usage information to Google, whose servers may be outside South Africa. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them.

Information sent outside South Africa

Some of our service providers, including Google, may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we only use providers that are bound by laws, rules or agreements that give your information a level of protection similar to POPIA.

8

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for 6 months after it is no longer needed for the purpose we collected it for, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Where the law requires us to keep records for longer, such as invoices and other tax and accounting records, we keep them for as long as the law requires. If you are on our mailing list, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

9

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted access for staff and trusted service providers, and encrypted passwords. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

10

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct or update information that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
  • Object to us using your information, including for direct marketing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

To make a request, email sales@clickcomputer.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.
